The Orbital Committee

Judith Proctor - Chair

Judith has been the Chair for all of the Redemption conventions, which have been running every two years since 1999. She's also worked as both hotel liaison and guest liaison.

Judith suffers from Dupuytren's Contracture and would never have found the appropriate treatment without this excellent web site.

Eddie Cochrane - At-con Operations

As well as being the Ops manager for all Redemption conventions, Eddie has been working on Eastercons since, oh, ages ago. He can generally be found in Ops or in the bar - especially late at night, when Ops is in the bar.

Steve Rogerson - Programme

Steve is a founder Redemption committee member, having worked on all Redemptions, working on Publications, Programme and Publicity. He worked on the Programme team for Interaction.

Fiona Scarlett - Membership

Fiona is a first-time committee member. She worked in the Interaction gopher hole as one of the shift managers (occasionally emerging blinking into the light, to discover a Worldcon happening around her).

Mark Young - Deputy Chair, Publications

Mark has been in fandom since Contrivance in 1989. He was on the committee for Helicon 1 in 1993, working on Programme and Publications. As well has being the Programme Deputy for Helicon 2, he's also worked on most Eastercons and Worldcons since in the Ops room, doing everything from shift leader to gophering. Mark runs the Reading (Berkshire) SF Group.

John Wilson - Hotel Liaison

John is fairly new to con-running, having worked on the publications team for Interaction, and advertising for the Accio convention.

Vince Docherty - Treasurer, Finance

Vince chaired both Intersection, the 1995 Worldcon, and Interaction, the 2005 Worldcon. Nuff said.

Chris O'Shea - Interfaces

Chris is well-known to many UK fans as "The Magician". He's been attending conventions since 1980, and has been working on them since 1983/4 (things are hazy back then...). He's been on the committee for three Eastercons (1990, as publications; and 2004 and 2007, as co-chair) and worked for several Worldcons. He was the JETS fan fund winner for Nippon 2007, the Japanese Worldcon. He's done most committee jobs going, including newsletter, ops, artshow, programme, registration, membership, etc. And he's been on the committee for Redemption since it began, back in 1999.
